Now, don’t get me wrong, the Garmin is one of the greatest inventions since sliced bread, cell phones and soap on a rope – but it is not very good with Small Town, USA. We used the Garmin to guide us through our tour of the truckstops of America and had little trouble finding anything. It was great! Yet, when it came time to find my sisters’ house in the backwoods of Ellijay, GA, it wanted us to drive off a cliff. Huh? Turn right where? It had us driving in circles around Ellijay and Jasper Georgia for about an hour. Beautiful scenery, but wasn’t taking a scenic tour – wanted to find my sisters house. No, unfortunately I could not call her, as I was out of cell range the whole time – mountains and trees…nature interfering with modern conveniences.
So, I did not get to see my sis on the trip through her town. Piddle.
